Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine begins rollout in the UK

England has been plunged into a third national lockdown in a bid to contain the surge in coronavirus cases and deaths. Striking a more positive note, the Prime Minister hailed the first dose administered of the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine today. The first of the vaccine has been shown to confer 70 percent protection against COVID-19. According to the PM, those in the top four priority groups would receive a first vaccine dose by mid-February.
