Sex is good for the Psyche and health, it can protect older adults against cardiovascular disease and helps maintain mental performance. British researchers have studied how it was ordered to the sexual activities of adults in the UK during the Covid-19-blocking, and Only four out of ten adults in the United Kingdom came to a surprising result: in this time were sexually active.
Dr. Lee Smith, a consultant for physical activity and public health at the Anglia Ruskin University, said: "When we started the study, we expected a high degree of sexual activity, while the people isolated at home." But the opposite was the case: at this time only just under 40 per cent of the 868 respondents, adults in the UK had at least once a week to have Sex. Active, Younger, men, Married as well as people who drank a glass of alcohol.
The researchers believe it is possible that anxiety and Stress could prevent people from having Sex. Also, a spatial separation among couples not living together, or the reduced use of Dating Apps that allow for casual sex, are reasons conceivable. The "Journal of Sexual Medicine" published study is the first of the results to the extent presented of sexual activity during social distancing and self-isolation.
The researchers conclude from their results: "Measures to promote the health and well-being during the Covid-19 pandemic should include positive messages for Sex, in order to mitigate the harmful health consequences in terms of self-isolation."
